*spoiler alert*

Like the last Animal Ark book I read (Mare in the Meadow), I was convinced I'd read this one sometime in the past, and again I was wrong.

At first I thought Mandy was just being overly hopeful and too optimistic, because it was obvious that Kimble's owner *had* abandoned her. I didn't think any good would come from trying so hard to find the owner who abandoned their dog... Maybe I should just stop thinking/analyzing so much while reading. I was happily surprised by the owner's story, why she had to leave Kimble at AA, and especially how worried and upset she was about it all.

The ending was wonderful, and the whole other issue with Kimble not caring for her newborn pups was so frustrating and I got really concerned about show more the little pups, but it was so statisfying in the end. show less
