It was so fun to get lost in this world again and learn more about Artemis, Mulch, Butler, Holly, and everyone else! I adore books like this and it was such a fun, quick read. I wish it had been longer! Mr. Colfer has such an imagination and this book was proof of that. I would read this again any day. It was funny, well written, and engaging. easily 5 out of 5 stars.

After reading this, I thought "So, are these characters actually characters in their own fictional world?" I mean, since when do characters from a book do "interviews". They don't add anything to the series, and they certainly don't do any character building. What other purpose could they be for except to lenthen the page count?
The word games were dumb, also probably used to increase the page amount, to either fulfill some publisher requirement, or to give the illusion that the buyer was buying more than just two short stories. Why not include a coloring book as well (please dont)?
What I really wanted out of this book was the two short stories, which were pretty good. But did it really have to be immersed in a bunch of garbage?

I bought this book because of the cover (and because Artemis is my internet alter ego).
I'm not being absolutely true.
I bought Artemis Fowl (the first book of the series) because i liked this books cover.
I still love to play with the magnet that runs along the fold.
The short stories are nice, but I don't really see them fit in the other books chronology. But they are nice back stories, and they fit the characters well.
The rest of the stuff in the book is already available on the internet page and in the regular books of the series...

This book was really cool because it had short stories and cross word puzzles and other games that were about the books. There were even little character interviews. It was a really fun book.
An interesting perspective of the fantasy world. It's a great move from JK Rowling's witches and wizards, and Rick Riodan's Greek gods and goddesses.
