Fourth book of the first Warriors series. Bluestar is having a hard time getting over Tigerclaw's betrayal. Fireheart is learning to be deputy but he is thwarted by Bluestar's lack of presence in the clan. He is also having problems with Cloudpaw. When tragedy strikes Fireheart must lead his clan to safety while dealing with rogues.
I am enjoying this series. My niece got me into it and refuses to answer any questions. "You'll just have to read to find out," she tells me. I like Thunder Clan. I also enjoy watching Fireheart learn how to lead. He makes mistakes but is willing to learn and to listen to those of experience. He has problems inside and outside the Clan. He does his best in all situations.
The story is full of action and show more adventure. There is intrigue and some romance. Fireheart is clueless there. It is also good to see that blood does not always mean family. It means being able to trust those that have your back. show less

"StarClan is calling me, but I have one last thing to say. Fire will save the Clan." — Yellowfang
These words resonate deeply as a powerful reminder of the strength within us, especially when facing the most difficult trials. Just as Yellowfang passed on her wisdom to Fireheart, we too are called to live authentically, trusting in our purpose and faith. Life will always present obstacles, but if we live out our faith and let God’s love shine through in everything we do, we become the light that others need.
Just as I encourage you: *"Live out your faith in an authentic way. No matter what."* When we align our actions with our true selves, we become the beacon of hope and strength in the world. Just as Fireheart was destined to lead show more ThunderClan, we too have a destiny to fulfill. We are called not just to try, but to *do*. To achieve greatness, to embody the truth of who we are, and to prove that no challenge is too great for the courage that resides in us.
*“Do the best. Live the best. Achieve the best. Not try. But DO!”* The journey ahead may not always be clear, but just as Yellowfang passed on her wisdom, we too can empower and uplift those around us with the unique gifts we carry. Like Fireheart, we must step forward in confidence, knowing that God’s love and our true purpose will guide us every step of the way. Prove them wrong. Be the fire that ignites change and inspires greatness. show less

No! This can not be right!
The pace stays up! I do not agree with this statement "Cat Warriors is a new series that has taken the " Harry Potter " - crowd by storm." But it's certainly a good series for youngsters who like fantasy :)

Fireheart, deputy head of the Thunderclan, continues to grow in maturity and responsibility. In Book 4, he has difficulty with his new apprentice/nephew, Cloudpaw, who struggles with his kittypet life and has to save the clan from a horrible fire (as leader Bluestar is still suffering from Tigerclaw's deceit and treachery.)
I appreciated the fact that this book stands well on its own, despite the fact that it's part of a series with a continuing storyline. In other words, you can read it on its own and still feel like you've read a complete story instead of only part of one. Obviously reading the previous books makes the reading experience a bit richer, but still .....
Anyway, overall this is a well-paced, suspenseful book that my kids and I thoroughly enjoyed.

Tigerclaw got banished! And Fireheart knows that he will come back, but right now he doesn't have time for that right now because being deputy is hard enough. Fireheart's new apprentice, Cloudpaw seems a little strange to him, he's bigger and more out of breath even for a cat in Greenleaf. Graystripe's mate, Silverstream has a belly of kittens and Fireheart knows it will be hard for Graystripe to let them go. Fireheart and Graystripe were on their own patrol to meet Silverstream. When they met Silverstream had her babies and there was no time for her to get to either camp! So Fireheart ran back and got Cinderpaw (his former warrior apprentice now the medicine apprentice). Cinderpaw did her best but Silverstream didn't make it, they had show more two kits, a tom (Stormkit) and a she-cat (Featherkit). Graystripe told Crookedstar (Silverstream's father) what happened and a small rivalry on who gets the kits. After about a wee of that Fireheart and Cloudpaw went out for some battle training, Cloudpaw was terrible he wasn't quiet, couldn't catch up, and got tired quicker than normal cats, from then Fireheart knew something was up. So he let Cloudpaw hunt but instead if leaving he stalked Cloudpaw only to end up at the fences. At first Fireheart was confused but then he realized Cloudpaw was also being fed by the twolegs! When Fireheart finally told Bluestar she said that he needed to be told that what he was doing was against the warrior code. So Fireheart told him and his warrior ceremony was going to have to wait a lot longer until he eared it. After some RiverClan cats came to say that the kits belonged with them Graystripe said that he would go with them and will do anything to stay with them, so now Graystripe is a RiverClan cat. But the most shocking part in the book was when at the last Gathering before the book ended when ShadowClan showed up Tigerclaw was their leader and is now called Tigerstar.
My opinion on this book is like always great. But for the most reasons is because of Cloudpaw, what he did and the way he acted as if doing that wasn't a big deal. This was also a good boo because it was sad, Graystripe was so torn between clans, loyalty, and love. Just like Cloudpaw, Graystripe's loyalty was being tested and judged at every moment. But this book wasn't all lies and secrets, it had Tigerclaw/star in it. I was so shocked threw the book! And that's my opinion on why this was a really good book. show less

- "Yellowfang," Fireheart pleaded. "Don't die!" Her painful breathing clawed at his heart, and he realized there was nothing he could do. "Don't be afraid of StarClan. They will understand about Brokentail," he promised wretche... (show all)dly. "You will be honored by your warrior ancestors for your loyalty to your Clanmates and your endless courage. So many cats owe their lives to you. Cinderpelt would've died after her accident if you had not tended to her. And when there was greencough, you fought day and night..." Fireheart couldn't stop the words from tumbling out even though he knew the old medicine cat's breathing had faded into everlasting silence.
