Description
Based on a 13th century European legend about a beautiful maiden, a stalwart knight and a pickpocket. The knight and the lady were once lovers, but the curse of the jealous Bishop of Aquila has fated them to be "always together, eternally apart". By day, she is a hawk; by night he is a wolf.Tags

D (Bad).
A thief is kidnapped by a knight on a revenge quest.
The basic concept of the fantasy element of the movie is pretty interesting. But the execution of the idea is awful, as is pretty much everything else about the movie.

Our first DVD, chosen because Matthew Broderick was in it, and little did we know how we would fall in love with this fantasy. Rutger Hauer and Michele Pfeiffer are wonderful, as well, and it's a not to be missed tale of knights, ladies, and magic.
Though the acting is good, as well as the visual, this movie is hampered by the music. It's very dated today- I'd love to see it with a new score. Hauer makes a good hero, and Pfeiffer is fragile and beautiful.
Powerful longing, regret and conscience, coming of age.
This is a piece of good gothic fairy tale fun. LadyHawke is a likeable, well-made fairytale that insists on a wish for its lovers to live happily ever after. Laced with medieval magic, it has stalwart knights and tremulously fine ladies, heavy-hoofed horses who might have clattered straight out of broadswords so heavy you could never heft them. We willingly go along with the story.
