My first-ever Punjabi book. I am not sure if the translation was bad or if it was just me, but this meandering book seemed to lack purpose and direction, jumping from character to character in a haphazard manner. It did give me a glimpse into the world of Sardars, in the days of the State of Patiala. But the trace of the decline it offers was far too obscure in its consumption.
