Excellent book about one of the seminal events of both Jewish and world history; the apprehension of Adolf Eichmann in 1960, his trial in 1961-2 and his execution on May 31, 1962. I gave the book four rather than five stars since the first half of the book dwelled on the now-familiar history of the Holocaust and the world's indifference. Perhaps that is unfair since at the time such subsequent books as Arthur Morse's While Six Million Died, https://www.goodreads.com/book/photo/551360.While_Six_Million_Died , were not yet widely read and others such as Jay Winik's 1944 were not yet in print.

Once the author reached the portions in which he participated as Eichmann's prosecutor the book picked up steam and interest. Much of the writing was quite moving. Overall I strongly recommend this book. ( )
