I’ve always enjoyed watching Mary Tyler Moore on TV; her charm, grace, and wit were unforgettable. I picked up After All expecting a glimpse behind the scenes, but what I got was so much more. This book surprised me with its honesty and emotional depth.

Mary shares her story with unflinching candor, revealing the struggles and personal pain that lay behind that dazzling smile we all knew so well. It’s not just a celebrity's memoir; it’s a heartfelt journey through love, loss, addiction, and resilience.

I didn’t expect to connect with it as deeply as I did, but I found myself moved, inspired, and grateful for her willingness to tell the truth. A beautiful, brave, and unforgettable read.
Pretty good memoir by this actress. She is quite frank about her alcoholism and marriage problems, etc. She also had diabetes. An aloof father led her to seek validation from others all through her life. It also has some good anecdotes.
Mary's book is laid out chronologically. She doesn't sidestep any of the tough or ugly parts of her life, having come to terms with such things over the years. She has lost her niece, her son, and both of her parents, as well as having gone through two divorces. 'AfterAll' she appears to come out of it okay.
I have always enjoyed Mary and we delighted to have this person glimse of her inner thoughts. I thought it was well written and honest.
The rating I gave this book is due to the fact that I thought it needed a better editor/writer. I felt she spoke heartfelt truths about her life but the book lacked cohesion.
