Very good overview. A little dated by now (2017). ( )

Hazen is a highly regarded researcher at the Carnegie Institute and has published extensively on life’s origins. He is a wonderful writer and this is a very accessible book. Although parts probably need a little understanding of biochemistry, he has done a magnificent job providing a survey of the wide array of work in this field.
