Paddington takes a trip to the fair, who doesn’t love the fair?! After a series of events, Paddington finds himself being a part of the circus trapezing. I think this book would be great for smaller children, up to first grade maybe. The lesson is to enjoy the experiences you come across in life, whether it was expected or not. The point is to make the most out of whatever life hands to you. The lesson of this story could be applied to anyone at any age.
This book is good for children Kindergarten to first grade. It tells of the experiences of Paddinton the bear at the circus. After he accidentally ends up trapezing, he realizes he doesn't want to join the circus like he first thought. It teaches children to enjoy their experiences and at the end of the story the teacher could have them discuss, write, or draw experiences they have had at the circus or something they have tried. (i.e. jumping off a diving board at the pool).
I would like to read this to elementary students. It has great pictures. Every kid loves the circus, and if they have not been they will want to now. It is also a fun book that the students can "come alive" in, or feel like you are the charictor, Paddington.
