Zisfein states in his Introduction that it was important to him to devote as much space to illustrations as to its text, and this beautifully illustrated history of aviation does just that. Written in 1981, this book celebrates flight from myths to Supersonic Transports and the Space Shuttle Program. Included are failed experiments in aviation, an important aspect to any study of research and development.
