Can we please stop with how much Claudia's spelling absolutely sucks? By this point we've seen Claudia struggle so much through school but then I would be struggling if I had to repeat eighth grade over and over and over and OVER. (like really, can the girls move up to ninth grade already? We've had several years pass, with mentions of birthdays, Christmases, summer vacation, etc)
But at least Claudia finds someone to connect with. Shea is frustrated with school so Claudia can sympathize with him and they bond over that which... well actually that's not the worst thing to bond over because I hated school too. :P
It's still a cheesy book and in several ways reminds me of Kristy and the Secret of Susan except in this book it's about show more dyslexia, not autism. show less
