It's a great book to learn about Greek military history in terms of the technical stuff (armor, ships, helmets, formation, etc). Because it's a kid's book, you're not going to have to have a degree in ancient history to follow it. One of my professors had told our class that the best way to learn a really complex subject in regards to history is to start in the kid's section.
