Deborah Kent grew up in Little Falls, New Jersey, where she was the first blind student to attend the public school. She has written more than twenty novels and numerous nonfiction books for children and teens. She enjoyed interviewing the deaf students who are featured in this series. Ms. Kent lives in Chicago with her husband. They have one show more daughter. show less
