The fifth in the Calder Series, this book focuses on Cat Calder and Logan Echohawk, the new Sheriff in Blue Moon, and their child Quint. When Cat's fiance, Repp Taylor, is killed in car accident by Rollie Anderson who is DWI, Cat quits college at the University of Texas and goes to Austin to retrieve her belongings. She meets her college friends in Fort Worth for a final goodbye party and ends up seducing a very handsome Treasury agent whose name she does not know. Upon returning to the Triple C ranch, she discovers she is pregnant. Five years later when Lath Anderson returns to Blue Moon, he has it out for anyone who has crossed him and his family. He enlists his brother to help met out the punishment.
