Trey Calder (Chase Benteen Calder III) meets professional photographer, Sloan Davis, at a rodeo and immediately falls in love with her. The feeling is mutual and they marry quickly, but Sloan's guardian is Max Rutledge. Sloan does not know that he is the Calder's enemy since Quint killed Boone, Rutledge's son, in self defense in the previous book. Rutledge is up to his old tricks to pay back the Calder's for his son's death.
Did not finish, story not too interesting. Too drawn out
