Demigods and the women who love them! First in a new paranormal erotic romance series. Patricia was startled when she found a handsome and wounded man in her antique store-but her interest was truly aroused when she saw his well-muscled back sporting two wings. He was Nico, son of a powerful deity, breaker of hearts, and cursed by the goddess Hera to spend eternity as a slave to female desire-drained, used, and cast aside time and again as a sex god. Wow! Well this was my second erotic novel and not one I was going to read. When I opened the first few pages and it talked about a man with wings I was like c'mon, get real. I gave it a chance and I am glad that I did. It was not too over the top imortal at all! The book had good flow to it and was a quick read. I couldnt put it down. The ending almost had me crying and then it changed so fast! It was a very happy ending.
It was more erotic than "lying in bed" was but I am still in need for deeper eroticism.

Hmmm, how to rate "Mortal Temptations" by Allyson James? I really enjoy her 'Dragon' series, but I must say that this read left me, well...not cold, but not hot either.
Patricia has always been psychic and able to 'read' auras, so she's always up for a little something unusual. However, finding a man with a broken wing in her antique store may be just a bit more than a little unusual. But boy howdy, he sure is hot!
Nico is the son of a god and cursed by Hera to be a slave to female desire (and why can't I ever find these guys?) but never know real love. He's attracted to Patricia and a little surprised, it's not often a mortal takes his wings in stride. But when Patricia becomes involved in trying to help them break their curse, Nico and show more his partner in the curse Andreas (who turns into a snow leopard by the way), soon realize that now Patricia has been brought to the notice of the gods...and this has never been a winning situation for mortals!
There is a LOT of hot sex in this book...oral, anal, vaginal; with toys and without; light bondage; sex with one, two, and three; and in just about every position I could think of! There's mono, hetero, and homo sex to boot! The only part left out was girl/girl and I think that's only because this is marketed towards hetero women. Is that enough sex for you?
It wasn't the sex that was the problem in this book. For me at least, it was the lack of any real relationship building...feeling-wise. I get the lure of the curse, but still don't buy a fairly goody-two-shoes suddenly turned pseudo sex kitten/dominatrix. And with all the push/pull between the three main characters, I just didn't 'feel' the love. But hey, maybe it's just me. show less

Psychic antiques dealer, Patricia, hears noises in her store downstairs and finds it damaged and an unconscious man with a broken wing. She is not frightened for his aura is not evil. She mends his wing and when he awakens, he asks her about an ostracon that he heard was in her store. The ostracon is a stone tablet fragment with hieroglyphs. The hieroglyphs may be part of a clue to breaking a curse that has been put on him and his friend. Nico and his friend, Andreas, are demigods cursed to pleasure women and fall in love with them until the women tire of them and send them away, breaking their hearts. This has gone on for thousands of years. Patricia determines to help them and finds a hieroglyphics specialist, Rebecca to help with the show more translating. This is an erotic tale filled with battles between the gods, supernatural challenges and a search for an end to the curse, leading from NYC to London to Egypt. Two couples tested to their limits and many hot love scenes. M/F, M/M, and three way. show less

I LOVED this book! I am not into this "type" of book but I was bored and read it and it was not over the top imortal. There were spots wher eit left me hot and there were spots I was like who cares, just get back to the hot stuff. What happened in the very end of the book almost had me crying but it quickly kept up pace and changed the ending for the BEST in the end! This was a really nice show more book about Love and lust! I give it 5 stars for romance and 3 stars for erotic! show less
