Told in the voice of Jack the dog, who is not that smart (I miss you Sasha!), with footnotes from the Cats. Sort of like LOLcats for kids, except about a dog. While the style gets a bit tiresome, kids would definitely like it, and boys would *love* the bits about "wet messages" and "hard messages" and how Jack has to leave them everywhere.
This book is a HOOT!! The story is told by Jack, an over-enthusiastic golden retriever (also known to the cats as Big Yellow Stupid). Jack has a number of adventures revolving around the "girl next door" dog, finally redeeming himself in the eyes of his "Ape-dog" (human) pack. Perfect for oral interp.
Jack, a yellow labrador, has written a book (all by himself except for little help from the cats who provided the footnotes). His funny stories about his adventures with the next door neighbor's dog Petra will make you laugh out loud. This a great book for reluctant readers. There's lots of white space and even some pictures.--Mary
Jack is a golden labrador and also very funny. He does not know the words of some things and he gives them their own names so he has to write a type of dictionary converting JackSpeak to English. He also has an adventure.

Jack was born near Plymouth, England, the only puppy in his litter. He was adopted (at great expense) by his Pack. Jack went to obedience school, but he was not at all obedient, and far too friendly. His interests include eating, walking, food, swimming, breakfast, playing NotFetch, dinner, and, of course, food theft Patricia Finney is Jack's real show more Pack Lady and his interpreter.
