Description
The #1 New York Times bestselling author of You Betrayed Me delivers a twisty, page-turning novel of twin sisters and a dark family history . . .Sisters share a bond—twins especially. For Maggie McCrae and Mary Theresa, that link once allowed them to communicate no matter how much distance separated them. But there were differences between them too.
Maggie has always been the paler, quieter version of her wild and glamorous sister. Mary Theresa, adopting the name Marquise, has become a show more TV star, while Maggie is building a new life in small-town Idaho after her husband's death, and wrangling a resentful teenage daughter. But when Mary Theresa disappears, their connection reignites, and Maggie knows with certainty that her twin is in real danger.
Thane Walker, the man Maggie loved until Mary Theresa lured him away, is her best hope of learning the truth—if Maggie can bring herself to trust him. But the deeper she digs, unraveling the layers of her sister's life, the more she discovers about her own complicated past. A legacy of deceit and betrayal has brought Maggie within a hair's breadth of a killer—one intent on revenge at any price . . .

Of all the books I've read, Twice Kissed is one of the more perverse and twisted. A woman is wronged by her twin in the most heinous of ways repeatedly throughout the story and yet never seeks justice. The bond of sisters is great, but if my sister seduced my man by pretending to be me and getting pregnant in the process... Let's just say there's a fine line between families and funerals. The wrongs were never justified leaving me very irritated to the last page. This book is mildly entertaining and wildly disturbing with tales of incest, suicide, scandal and the ultimate betrayal.
Fiction. Suspense.
Marquise Walker has vanished without a trace. There are few clues and much speculation on her sudden disappearance. But the truth is more terrifying than anyone can even imagine.
Maggie McCrae would do anything to find her identical twin sister—even if it means stepping into her unfamiliar shoes. Walking through Marquise's wild, uninhibited life is a revelation for Maggie, proof that she knew very little about her twin's darker side and her connection to the only man Maggie ever loved, Thane Walker. Now he's the man she shouldn't trust, a man who could be her best hope . . . or a cold-blooded killer. . . .
Who's the Deadest Twin of All?
The deeper Maggie digs, the more she is drawn into the web of her own past to a show more twisted family legacy of desperate deceit, betrayal, and revenge . . . each secret bringing her closer to a final, shocking truth—and to the identity of a killer who's closer than she thinks show less

I am a Lisa Jackson fan. I think she, most of the time, writes half decent books, with lots of twists and turns, excellent character development and usually, a few hot love scenes. Twice Kissed didn’t disappoint me. I really enjoyed the characters. Thane, and Maggie had tons of chemistry. I laughed at Maggie’s daughter and her teenage attitude. I think Marquise/Mary Theresa got what she deserved. What a deceitful woman. Overall a satisfying read!
When crime writer Maggie McCrae's identical twin goes missing, the single mom joins forces with ex-boyfriend Thane Walker to track down her glamorous sister Marquise, a TV presenter. Battling unresolved feelings for first her love Thane – the man who broke her heart after he married and divorced her sister – Maggie digs through the mess of her twin's personal life, discovering death, suicide, and an unexpected murderer lying in wait. Twice Kissed is a good poolside read from the backlist of New York Times–bestselling author Lisa Jackson. Slightly dated, with a late-90s focus on politically correct feminism, the romantic thriller will placate fans waiting for Jackson’s latest novel Malice to hit shelves in April.
Ohmygosh, this was so boring. I ended up skimming it because I felt strongly that reading this book was a waste of time for me. That's not to say that this book couldn't find a good home elsewhere.
I can't get enough of Lisa Jackson. This was another one that you couldn't put down.
DNF just to slow and boring
