Janet Dailey has always been a favorite author of mine and Leftover Love is a nice light romance. I enjoyed the western setting and the fact that the heroine was not afraid of doing hard labor on the ranch. The hero was a bit tedious in his unwillingness to see that he could be attractive to someone. Overall an enjoyable older romance.
I appreciate and believe Ehrenreich’s message to a point - however I found this book dragging and it took me quite a long while to finish, without her counterpoint coming across until the final chapter.
This was a keeper for me, I have the original 1984 edition. But I haven't read it for nearly 10 years and this reread will be the last for me. I liked the hero Creed's intensity and lvoed the ending where her was messing with his hat, and askign if she ahd any love left over for him, but Mattie the heroine was annoying for em this time. This is a fine category romance and Dailey's Westerns are great, but its time for me to let this one go...
