Tricia has just finished winning the Santa Anita Derby! She celebrates with her friend, Rhonda, who joined her mother & brother to watch! Tricia & her father, Hal, drive back home to Vancouver, WA. Spitfire, the winning horse, loads easily. They stop on the way back to visit Hal's friend, Adam Finley. They had visited there on the way down to Santa Anita. They discuss Tricia going to California for the summer, but Tricia's mom's worrying might be a problem. The immediate plans are to enter into the Kentucky Derby. Tricia's hoping to take Firefly to Kentucky too, but she's having problems with her legs. She's congratulated for her win at Santa Anita by when she's announced as a jockey at Portland Meadows, where she's riding as a jockey, show more as well as by other owners that she's riding for & jockeys. She's riding a horse in a race that has never raced before, when there's an accident...will she make it to Kentucky? show less
