This informational book provides an overview about peacocks, including scientific terminology, family structure, eating habits, habitats, preening behaviors, etc.

Although this book is older, it appeared to still be accurate in its entirety. There were some things I did already know about peacocks but I must admit there were some things that even us adults learned from this book. For instance, did you know that peacocks can eat cobras?!

The text is peppered with many beautiful full-color photographs as well as some questions to quiz kids on what they just learned, which is great in helping them to retain the information they just read or heard. A table of contents, a glossary, and other helpful tools are included.
