Description

In The Middle Of The Night, The Sisterhood Is Your Only Hope

A Sister's work is never done—not when there are wrongs to right and underdogs to defend. Just returned to their mountaintop hideaway after their latest successful mission, the seven fearless friends enjoy a celebratory dinner and retire to bed. But within an hour, an alarm sounds, and the ladies rush into the compound in time to see Myra and their mentor, Charles, climbing aboard a helicopter. All that's left is a mysterious show more note, signed by Charles.

Still reeling, the Sisters receive an urgent call from retired justice Pearl Barnes. Pearl runs an underground railroad to help abused and displaced women, and she's just rescued fourteen pregnant teenagers who belong to a highly secretive and controversial polygamy sect. But keeping the girls safe will require the kind of help only the Sisterhood can provide—if they can band together and go it alone...

I have a lot of issues with this book. Let's start with the basic idea of this book. There is a community called sisterhood that exists and they find out about the happenings of polygamy in a place called Utah. The person behind this is the prophet (or so he calls himself) and the sisters are to take him down . That is basically it.
My issues with the story: no strong plot, very bad characterisation, unrealistic, no proper reasoning.I don't have much issues with the writing , but the dialogues are far from realism .Overall, the plot is all over the place and honestly, I was questioning my decision about reading this book right at the first few chapters.

The Sisterhood series is a group of women with some male assistance, labeled Vigilantes in the press, who fight for what they believe in, make dramatic rescues, put nefarious criminals out of commission, and basically do what the police are withheld by law from doing. This book dealt with pseudo-religious communes when one of the members of the Sisterhood has road accident with a busload of 12- and 13-year old pregnant girls being transported to a commune. At this particular time their leader and mentor is not available and they must cover all contingencies and decisions alone. Fortunately through previous work, they are able to make connection with some of their associates and with a lot of planning on the run they get the job done. show more Action, humor, and a gung-ho attitude makes for a great series. show less
