This is a good book which sadly is only available secondhand. In 2017 a new book "Ainslie Meares on Meditation" was published that includes a distilled version of Relief without Drugs. The distilled version of Relief without Drugs contains all you need to know to learn Ainslie Meares' relaxing mental exercise as he called his relaxing meditation at that time. The new book also summarises Meares final method developed after Relief without Drugs including his therapeutic poetry. 30 Samples of Meares' poetry are included to help readers work out which of the poetry books to source secondhand. The new book also has a biography of Meares' life and work. By all means source Relief without Drugs secondhand if you want to read the original, however, if you want a shorter version of the same book with several fringe benefits then: Ainslie Meares on Meditation might be worth considering.
