Description

December 1922: Ireland is at war with itself, friend against friend and brother against brother in the Civil War. As the lines are drawn up for the bloodiest century in Ireland's troubled history a dedicated Republican and a younger freedom fighter escape from captivity and begin the long road to freedom - to Ballyshannon in County Donegal. Between the fugitives and their Protestant hostage there grows a bond stronger than sectarian hatred, an unstable raft riding the blood-dimmed tide.
