The tales of the Trickster seem to be found in every culture, and Germany's version is Till Eulenspiegel (Owl Mirror). The written stories first appeared in 17th century German literature, and show Till to be a practical joker, con man, and sometimes simpleton. The illustrations are okay, but not outstanding.
