This book would be good as a read aloud for young children. The mystery that Bones has to solve with his grandfather is fun and it gets the reader's brain working as to interactively try and solve the same mystery. In the conclusion, Bones does admit that the big roller coaster would have been too scary to ride, which is important for children to see the main character admit fear. Also, the short chapter format is a good introduction to chapter books for children.
Engaging story about a boy and his bear who try to stay out of trouble.
