Samantha Turner lives in New York, is a vampire, uses her undead life to help the helpless, running a shelter for battered women.
Peter Daly is a detective in the NYPD. He meets her while being involved in a shootout near the shelter, they're attracted to each other but she's afraid of loving, loving someone with a shorter life span and of what will happen if he discovers what she is.
Then they have to work together to find some kidnapped vampires and their attraction grows.
Pretty predictable but fun.
