Description
A chance encounter with an old schoolfriend confronting a devastating disease leads Colin Turnbull to reassess his life. Middle-class life is not all it seems.Member Reviews
Middleton at low ebb. Unenjoyable because the language used by these provincial comfortable characters never seems authentic. The problem is that Middleton appears to have so thoroughly milked his milieu of Beechnall novels, that not much is left.
I try to hold a light for Stanley often enough, but this book lets us all down.
