This is by far my favorite series for children!! Not only is it a simple read with words that challenge them, this book is downright hilarious. It is about a little girl, Junie B. Jones who is in kindergarten. Throughout her books, she proceeds to tell her readers about the different adventures, lessons learned, and just funny stories that happen in her day to day life. She also tells about all of her friends and classmates and the children reading this book can most always relate.

In this particular book, Junie B. Jones gets into a conversation with her friend, Paulie Allen puffer, about monsters. He informs her that there are monsters under everyone's bed...and he proves it by telling her that his brother who is in the 7th grade says show more so. She goes through all of her friends, asking if they believe in the monster under the bed...no one gives her a good enough answer. Naturally, Junie B. Jones goes home and expresses her fear to her Grandma Miller. For the remainder of the story, Junie B. Jones tries to think of solutions to her problem of the monster until she realizes it is not real. show less
I really enjoy these. They bring back memories of reading them with my daughter. As I listened to them recently, I sat in my car and laughed out loud at all of her mispronunciations.
Junie B Jones is a kindergartener that has her own way of doing things. She is funny, mischievous, and (at any given time) moments from getting into something :-)

More of my favorite chapter books as a kid. Once I started reading these I didn't set them down.
