This is Snowy, Blowy Winter counterpart. The rhyming words take you on a journey through summer by discovering activities you can do. The pictures capture the setting and tone perfectly because they are brightly colored filled with laughing people enjoying summer. The illustrator also changes the page layout midway through the book to emulate the height of the trees. A lower leveled book that is perfect for the emergent reader, or the classroom that is just about to break for summer.
A marvelous celebration of my favorite season!
This book is a picture book. The reader can see what the story is about through the pictures. The book and pictures are about different fun things to do in the summer. I could ask the class what fun things they in the summer.
