Another puppy rescued by Charles and Lizzie Peterson. Charlie really enjoys this series and it's a good one for him to read aloud to us, but I'm getting a bit wearied at this point, and honestly, I think Miles may be, too.

In this story, there are two main characters, two friends named David and Charlie. Charlie is a very thoughtful and kindhearted boy. David is brand new to Charlie's class at school, and no one really talks to him that much. Charlie goes out of his way to talk to David, and the two boys end up becoming very close friends. When David and Charlie are camping outside, they see puppy roaming around the woods. The next day, Charlie insists that the boys get up early and go out looking for the puppy. Once they find the puppy, Charlie does everything he can to take care of the puppy until the owners are found.
