She has to learn to deal with different situations and different people and how to accept help and care from others. This book is a good example of realistic fiction because it includes contemporary people, places, and events. Media: Pencil The reason why I gave this book a five is because I really enjoyed reading this book. This book was something that I could relate to because I had to deal with the divorce situation. This book was about Amber Brown having to deal with her parents divorce and both of her parents seeing or dating other people. Amber grades are going down because of all of this conflict with her parents. Amber Brown has to extra credit to pull her grades back up. My thoughts about this book is that this is a good example of realistic fiction. Divorce is a real thing and Amber's reactions is something that is real. This book can be use in a classroom with children because some of the students in the classroom can related to Amber and her situation. This book can teach children that in life you will go through diffcult situations like Amber Brown but you cannot let that effect what you are doing in life. no reviews | add a review
