This book displays the special bond that a child has with his or her grandfather. Children admire their grandfathers and have a friendship with them that they do not share with anyone else. It also shows children that there are many different types of grandfathers. Children call their grandfathers all different names and do different things and have different traditions with their grandparents. In the book, each page had a grandfather/grandchild pair and the grandchild had a different name for their grandfather on each page. This will give readers a greater respect and awareness for differences.
