(We'll just ignore these trained killers again and again.) And what could have been an interesting exploration of history became just absurdly unbelievable. (Sure, it never occurred to the guy in charge of the crypt to look in the bag that was sitting there for a hundred years.) And they're deciphering of the clues was just ridiculous. I hope Cussler learned his lesson and will dump this new co-author. I liked this book very much. A good historical back story, plenty of intrigue and suspense and main characters that play well off each other. I like to read Clive Cussler in between more serious reads and this book satisfied my itch quite well. I can see me continuing this series in the near future. Sam and Remi have found their place right up there with Isaac Bell as my favorite Cussler characters.
The Fargos are interesting characters who should develop along with the series, and Cussler gives us his usual history lesson tied to a fast-moving thriller. Belongs to SeriesFargo Adventure (1) Distinctions
