Kan Chen received his B.EE. from Cornell University, and S.M. and Sc.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Chen is Professor Emeritus of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science and International Director of the ITS Research Center of Excellence at the University of Michigan, in Ann Arbor.
