He is tired of fighting. She has nowhere to run.Red Rock Pass, Book 1
Keith Winston is tired of fighting. The war between werewolves and wizards rages on in Europe, but he's come home to Red Rock, Montana in hopes of finding a bit of peace. Instead he finds more strife as he struggles against the pack's dictates that he resume his place as the alpha's right-hand man.
When he rescues a new wolf on the run, he knows his instant attraction to her could cause trouble. What he doesn't expect is show more to find himself embroiled in another battle that goes against all his instincts—and his heart.
Abigail Adler learned about the existence of werewolves only when she became one. With her life threatened by a corrupt alpha, she flees to the only sanctuary she knows: Red Rock. While she's grateful for the pack's protection, she chafes under its unbreakable rules of conduct—except when it comes to submitting to the passion Keith stirs in her.
Then her tormentor kidnaps her sister in an attempt to lure her out of hiding. To save her, Abby and Keith must be willing to do the very thing that could get them all killed—break all of the rules.

To sum up my feelings for this book in one word would be Wow! Bree and Donna, the ladies that make up the persona known as Moira Rogers, have managed to create some of the hottest alpha males I’ve ever encountered. Keith Winston won my heart the moment he was introduced. He has just recently returned from fighting the war between werewolves and wizards. While trying to recover from years spent in battle he has Abigail Adler suddenly thrown into his life.
Abby is a new wolf who is trying to escape her abusive pack leader. Things between Abby and Keith heat up immediately. I’ll just say the hotel scene that takes place between these two lovely wolves early in the book is one I could (and did!) read over and over. Keith is seriously show more dreamy and Abby reaches a level of badass I can’t help but to covet.
This book has romance, action, an irresistible hero, and an unflinching heroine. Oh and I can’t forget the steamy scenes involving previously mentioned hero and heroine. The Red Rock Pass series is definitely worthy of a spot on my list of favorites. show less

Cry Sanctuary was an exciting fast read for me, I enjoyed watching the relationship dynamics between Abigail "Abby" and Keith play out from the action packed start to the explosive ending. Abby and Keith neither tried to fight their physical attraction for the other. They both went with their instincts instead of trying to deny them. They just had self-doubts as to whether one would accept the other more on an emotional level because they were both trying to overcome issues from their past. But when the opportunity presented itself to show how they each felt, they each went with it, more like what you would see in real life, I think. This to me was refreshing.
The secondary characters were individuals you could relate to, they only added show more to the story without overtaking it and made me want to read more about them. I especially liked the sexy and charismatic Joe, he has a devil may care attitude that I just loved but underneath all the bluster you can tell he's a great guy by some of the decisions and advice he hands out throughout the story.
This is something I found very fascinating, in this world of werewolves, females can also be alphas. I've never read a werewolf story before that had this aspect part of their world. I absolutely loved that!
After finishing Cry Sanctuary, I went back to Moira Rogers website to get the link to purchase the next book in the series, I found a prequel to the Red Rock Pass series, Becoming which is a free download. I went ahead and read Becoming and you know what? It gave me a better understanding of Sammie and Gavin, the leader alphas at Red Rock Pass and the realities of the werewolves in this world, rounding out the storyline for me. I just wished I had read the prequel before reading Cry Sanctuary, then I wouldn't of felt like I was missing a little backstory in a couple of spots. I highly recommend reading Becoming before reading Cry Sanctuary.
Cry Sanctuary satisfied my need for the paranormal while heating up the pages with the sizzling but sweet romance of Abby and Keith. The paranormal world of magic and werewolves created by Moira Rogers was done in such a way that everything seemed believable with a strong edge of realism. I'm so glad I finally started this series and I'll be reading the next book Sanctuary Lost. show less

The story follows two main characters and some good side ones. Keith is struggling to come to terms with a past he doesnt like. Abigail has been forced into a world she didnt know existed while her friend Dylan trying to accept that there are better packs out there than the one he was in. You meet two Alphas that are awesome people and one that sucks. There are plenty of struggles lust love and comradeship to learn to love these well written characters. The action is well described and nail biting in a few spots. The ending leaves satisfied enough but with some questions unanswered to keep you wanting more. There are plenty of paths that this story can take and it will be a great series to continue.
The story was show more definitely well written with great characters that are believable and easy to understand. The only negative I can really say is that there were plenty of instances where the writer kept saying she (Abigail) just doesnt understand this or that and then offers no explanation. So I kept reading She just doesnt know or understand and I kept thinking no crap could you explain it?!? Never really got that many answers though which I suppose is why its a series and they need to do that so youll get the other books. It was a good read and I would recommend it. show less

I'm going to admit at first I had a bit of trouble seeing Keith as the hero in this story. Only because I read the prequel and still kind of envision him as a 7 year old boy. However I got over that fairly quickly. Keith has indeed proved to be the kind of hero every girl dreams of.
Enjoyable, but I felt like I missed some of the backstory. Enjoyed both main characters and the story. The relationship moved a little fast, but I'm willing to suspend disbelief b/c it's a paranormal.
Fits and starts plague this book; but overall not too bad. This is obviously a trilogy at the least. Pretty sure I wouldn't read the rest of them unless they were offered free like this one.
From beginning to end this book was non-stop! So much packed into such a small book and it was GREAT! I loved it! It was a page turner and not a boring moment! Good read!
