This is such a cute book! It's set up in a pseudo-rhyme style and helps young children learn to count (each page has an increasing number of babies going to sleep). Also, I thought this was an interesting way to teach synonyms, as each page contains different ways of saying "sleep".
Such a great story about the importance of family and of bedtime. The book contains lovely rhyming and soothing words for each set of families (animals) getting ready for bed. Perfect book for bedtime.
True to his other books (i.e. can you cuddle like a koala?, can you growl like a bear?) illustrations are gorgeous, very lifelike. It is almost as if you can feel the soft down of the chicks and wolves fur. A nice story for a mother and child to share, as the story is all about mothers of different species laying with their babies at bedtime.
Bedtime in the jungle can be very different for different animals. As the author counts from 1 to 10, each number talks about a different jungle animals and their babies as they approach bedtime. This is a great bedtime story.
This book was very cute. It had beautiful pictures, was catchy, and would be great for children first learning to count.
Quiet and sweet. Great to end a storytime.
