This is the first of the Falladay Twins books. I love these guys and I really wish that Ms. Leigh had let them have a permanent menage. I think it would have gone a long way to healing both men. So this is Cam's book. He has had a very difficult life and he has survived all the things that have happened to him. He is hurt and angry and on the verge of a recklessness that has his brother Chase worried. When Jaci Wright shows up in Cam's life again things begin to heal. Jaci bring love and laughter with her.
These are wonderful characters that a deeply complex and more than a little stubborn. The guys are arrogant and dominant. They want to protect Jaci and provide her with more pleasure than she has ever known could exist. Cam is the show more darker twin while Chase seems to be all charm and laughter. I am sure there is a darkness to Chase as well he just keeps it hidden.
Jaci is stubborn and way to set to fix a problem she has all by herself. In trying to fix the problem she doesn't realize that she isn't prepared for the problems she is about to run into. She isn't as able to protect herself as she thinks she is.
This is a very good addition to this series and definitely will leave you wanting Chase's story. show less

I think my husband enjoyed this book more than I did. After every stimulating scene I needed him to relieve my pent up enthusiasm for the author's genuis with words and ability to paint a scene so vividly. I loved this book and recommend it to any one who enjoys very sexual romance!
TERRIBLY DISAPPOINTING. I'VE HAD THIS BOOK ON PRE-ORDER FOREVER AND WAS REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO IT AFTER FORBIDDEN PLEASURES. THE HERO'S SUPPOSEDLY TRAUMATIZED STATE IS UNLIKELY CONSIDERING HIS HIGH SEXUALITY. THE HEROINE'S CONFLICT WITH A U.S. CONGRESSMAN AND HIS WIFE IS RATHER ASSININE AND HOKEY. THE CONGRESSMAN AND WIFE'S BEHAVIOR CHANGES SO MUCH AT THE END OF THE BOOK THAT IT IS UNREALISTIC AND UNBELIEVABLE. LORA LEIGH'S BURNING, SCALDING MENAGE SCENES ARE EVEN UNORIGINAL AND SOMEWHAT WILTED. SHE IS ONE OF MY VERY FAVORITE ROMANTICA AUTHORS........BUT SHE MUST HAVE HAD A LOT OF BAD DAYS AT THE BLACK ROCK WHILE COMPOSING THIS ONE.
'The Club' (Bound Hearts series) is for men who 'like to share their women'. It is a 'ménage club' for m/f/m. It provides a pool of single thirds from which the married men can chose a 'third' to bring into their beds.
The Club was formed for 'the protection of the women', both their reputations (though secrecy) and physically. One rule is informed consent. Another is that once a man has claimed a woman as his, no other club member can touch her (presumably without permission). Dual, simultaneous penetration is the goal, and is referenced as providing more pleasure than imaginable and being a dark or wild desire. Some explanation is given for why the men have this need/desire/hunger to share.
(In this volume, previous sexual abuse show more creates a need for emotional distancing in the hero. He is using the third -- his twin brother -- to keep himself somewhat apart. "The temptation to feel was the basis of the sharing." In the end, the relationship becomes monogamous. I have the impression that this is unusual for this series -- the monogamy and the abuse origins -- and maybe this type of book. I think this might make it more acceptable for general romantica/romance readers.)
Rules seem to exist about what the third can and can't do with the woman. I think the primary sets the rules, although the woman can also set limits. The man who brings/claims the woman is faithful to her in that he never sleeps with another woman. The two males never interact with each other. The female is described as sharing her pleasure with the third, but only the primary gets her love, and generally her focus.
Sadism is described as being 'depravity'. show less

I honestly thought this book wasn't going to end, because it felt like I've been reading it for ages. Anyway, good read, though it tended to drag at some point, a lot. The characters weren't that relatable and sometime I felt that the story would've benefited from 200 pages less.
There was so much going on in this book! Tortured heroes, shameful pasts, broken hearts, rekindled love and lets not forget the hot steamy nights. sigh..... loved it
