Hadn't rewatched these films in a long time and it was a pleasure to get reacquainted. The third film in particular is so much fun.

Acting: 4.0; Theme: 4.5; Content: 4.5; Language: 2.5; Overall: 4.5

Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) is sent back into the future in a time-traveling DeLorean by his scientist friend, Emmett "Doc" Brown (Christopher Lloyd). He helps to influence his own future when he unites his dad, George (Crispin Glover) and mother, Lorraine (Leah Thompson) in this crazy comedy. Highly recommend with the following cautions.

There are at least 25 uses of profanity and 5-6 uses of Jesus' or God's name in vain. There are also several minor sexual scenes, but no nudity. There were also several scenes of violent comedic acts.

Back To The Future Part II: Marty and Doc are at it again in this wacky sequel to the 1985 blockbuster as the time-traveling duo head to 2015 to nip some McFly family woes in the bud. But things go awry thanks to bully Biff Tannen and a pesky sports almanac. In a last-ditch attempt to set things straight, Marty finds himself bound for 1955 and face to face with his teenage parents show more -- again. (source: TMDb)

Back To The Future Part III: The final installment of the Back to the Future trilogy finds Marty digging the trusty DeLorean out of a mineshaft and looking for Doc in the Wild West of 1885. But when their time machine breaks down, the travelers are stranded in a land of spurs. The BTTF trilogy—released in 1985, 1989, and 1990—stands out for its innovative blend of science fiction, comedy, and adventure, wrapped in a tightly woven narrative about time travel. Its originality comes from several key elements:
(i) The idea of a teenager, Marty McFly, zipping between decades in a DeLorean—a quirky, everyday car turned time machine—grounded the concept in pop culture.
(ii) The dynamic between Marty (Michael J. Fox) and Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) made the sci-fi premise feel human. The films didn’t just lean on the gimmick of time travel; they used it to explore identity, growth, and relationships.
(iii) From Marty accidentally altering his parents’ meeting in 1955 to Biff’s dystopian 1985 takeover show more with a stolen almanac in Part II, the films toy with butterfly effects in ways that feel both surprising and earned.
(iv) It fused 1980s teen comedy with sci-fi adventure and a touch of Western flair (Part III). Where else do you get skateboard chases, hoverboards, and a train-pushing time machine in one package?
(v) Lines like “Great Scott!” became instant icons, influencing countless works after it.

Quotations
Dr. Emmett Brown: Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads.
Doc: This is more serious than I thought. Apparently your mother is amorously infatuated with you instead of your father.
Marty: Whoa, wait a minute, Doc. Are you trying to tell me that my mother has got the hots for me?... (show all)r>Doc: Precisely!
Marty: Whoa, this is heavy.
Doc: There's that word again: "heavy." Why are things so heavy in the future? Is there a problem with the Earth's gravitational pull?
George: Yes. Yes. I'm George. George McFly. I'm your density. I mean, your destiny.
Doc: I didn't invent the time machine to win at gambling. I invented the time machine to travel through time!
Young Biff: [sarcastically] That's very nice. Thank you very much. Now, why don't you make like a tree and get outta here?
Old Biff: [smacks his younger self] It's "leave", you idiot! "Make like a tree, and leave"! You so... (show all)und like a damn fool when you say it wrong!
