So many ideas for xmas gifts. 5 copies came into our local knitting store and was sold out in 2 days. Great book
good book to find quick knitted gift ideas
So not for me. The projects they show strike me as kitschy (cute little scarves that don't come near covering your neck, for instance). The projects are not simple, and the instructions are not clear (to me, maybe for someone who's used to these kind of patterns they would make sense. Where exactly is this seam you're supposed to sew up on the folded bag, for instance?). And they're in love with felted stuff - I mostly knit with acrylics so that the finished product is machine-washable (not to mention several people in my family are allergic to wool, and I'm sensitive to it). I could see quite a few knitters loving this, but it's _not_ what I'm interested in. I didn't even find much in the way of useful techniques, though I'll take show more another look at the stitch glossary in the back for cast-ons and bind-offs (at a quick glance, the only ones that I could make sense of I already knew). show less
