Mark Pryor grew up in Hertfordshire, England. Before moving to the United States in 1994, he worked as a newspaper reporter in Colchester, Essex, where he covered the police and crime beat for almost two years. He received a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of North Carolina, in Chapel Hill, and a law degree from Duke show more University.
