Blonde with a Wand has helped me rediscover my love of light and funny paranormal romance. It’s what first pulled me to the genre. It is reminiscent of Playing with Fire by Gena Showalter. That is a very good comparison considering Playing with Fire is my fav para romance one of them at least.
Blonde with a Wand was very easy to read and pulls you in rather quickly. Once you start reading it’s not even an option to NOT read it. The Characters are likeable. Jasper and Anica seem like a perfect fit from the start. Their chemistry is amazing.
The story progressed nicely and it was good to read a light storyline. By that I mean their romance didn't seem life or death it was self contained and only involved them. Which was a good change show more from the dark and heavy plots I usually get involved with.
I also thoroughly enjoyed the resolution and how the situation was resolved. It was fairly predictable but only because it was realistic and fit what we all know from childhood movie favorites. Sacrifice for true love conquers all.
I love the side characters, Orion the cat and Lily. I loved the villain, as annoying as she was, a bitter neuter happy old bat. I just simply loved everything about this book.
Kudos to a job well done. Some books feel like a chore to finish, this one did not. I am glad I was able to rediscover chick-lit like paranormal romance again.
Look for Chick with a Charm in March which is Lily's story. show less

Anica is really crazy about her new boyfriend, Jasper, until she finds out that he has lied to her. She just wants to get away from her but he keeps following her, trying to explain himself. Wrong move See Anica is a witch and when she loses her temper, she turns Jasper into a cat. Also a wrong move. Witches are not supposed to harm humans, so Anica loses her powers. How will Jasper ever be returned to hunky human self?
Hmmm, I was a little disappointed in this book. I liked Jasper the cat more than Jasper the man. That part was written very well and I could almost believe he was a man inside a cat. But I think there was just too much sex in the book for my taste. Not that I am a prude or anything, but long sexual encounters just are not show more my thing. If that does not bother you and like a light paranormal romance, this might be just the thing for you. show less

Blonde with a Wand is about Anica who is a witch dating Jasper a mortal. They get into a fight and she accidently turns him into a cat. She loses her powers and the only way to transform him back is that he has to do good deeds. The also have to give up what matters most to them. A good book that has me looking for more of her stories.
This book not only had exciting sex scenes, but was funny as well.
