This novel shows Maggie Osbornes' growth as a writer. She is leaving behind the forumaltic genre of Romance and moving into Literary Fiction. Unfortunately she is leaving behind those readers who only desire a little plot leading to romantic fulfillment.

Instead, Ms. Osborne shows her understanding of character development, subtextual inferences of character growth.

Rather than the trite, boy meets girl, overcomes obstacles and falls in love; she gives us character struggling within themselves to find inner peace, overcoming the obstacles life has given each to find inner peace.
