An excellent and readable book that encapsulates many of the important tenants of what represents good and effective design on the internet today.
Some things change, some stay the same... This book updates concepts behind Nielsen's Designing Web Usability, updating usability challenges and priorities. Covers issues under major headings, both what do to and avoid. Not too hard to read, and can be a good reference to give you reminders while doing web design work.
