Exactly my speed on a cold and sleepy morning. Fluffy comfort poetry is vastly underrated.
These poems were an absolute delight. I found my copy on Kindle, and unfortunately it did not include illustrations. But the poems alone were enough for me to rate it five stars. I’d love a copy with the illustrations, and even better a hard copy rather than an ebook. It’s a book to hold and enjoy again and again. Recommended to cat lovers, young and old.

Update August 2020. I found a copy on Gutenberg that has illustrations. They’re so sweet. But I’d still love to own a hard copy.

First words
[Winter and Summer]

In Winter when the air is chill,
And winds are blowing loud and shrill,
All snug and warm I sit and purr,
Wrapped in my overcoat of fur.
Last words
(Click to show. Warning: May contain spoilers.)[The Game]

And now with a terrible deafening mew,
Like a Tiger I leap on my prey,
And just when I think I have torn it in two
It is up in the air and away.
