Most of the characters don’t really need to stand out on their own, though I feel Bluefur/star and several others (Crookedjaw, for instance) do a good job of being fleshed out enough to feel like big enough characters in their own right. (Granted, you would hope so since this is Bluestar’s Prophecy, it wouldn’t make much sense if Bluestar was some flat, basic character with no real thought put behind her.) But I have noticed that sometimes the Erins get a bit confused on which characters are which. For instance, Sunfall goes to get Sparrowpelt and White-eye and instead comes back with Swiftbreeze and White-eye. I mean, same first letter, but come on, you could have checked to make sure you got the right cat. (Edit to add: This show more book is apparently written by a ghost writer and not the Erins, which makes me feel that this is the Erin’s fault that the poor ghost writer got the names confused.)

I was able to picture the setting of the book fairly easily, from the windswept moors of WindClan to the thick, forested land of ThunderClan. I felt immersed in the story, though since this is a re-read, I did find it a bit hard to get back into it at first.

I enjoyed the writing style, and it’s very similar to the usual Erin’s writing, which is probably why I didn’t immediately pick up on the fact that this was a ghost writer. She did really well for what I think was her first Warrior Cats book, and honestly I think she made less mistakes than the Erins usually do in their books.

At first I felt like the pacing was slow, but I’m not sure if that was because I’ve read this book before or not. But overall I liked the plot, though I wish there had been more time spent on Oakheart. The romance felt a little fast-paced, only happening after over halfway through the book.

When first starting this book again, it was a drag. I had to force myself to read it. I knew eventually, I would get to a part where I’d get super hooked into it again. But my depression kept that from me for many months (I started this book December 2023 and didn’t finish until July 31, 2024). Once my depression lifted a bit and started letting me read again, though, I devoured this book. It felt nice reading it again.

The world building may or may not make sense; these are cats, believing in what’s basically a religion and living in what is practically a society. But I feel it’s explained enough through the text that it all makes sense.

Overall, I truly enjoyed this book.

Bluekit has her heart set on becoming the leader of ThunderClan. But when Goosefeather tells her about a prophecy that might involve her she starts to wonder what her destiny really is. Her mother dies. Her sister dies. Her kits go missing. It seems that she is meant to suffer. Will she complete the prophecy, or fall under the weight of her destiny? Bluestar's Prophecy helped me understand events in the first series of WARRIORS and was a great read. I love how the book was written. It fills in the gaps in the first series. I love how Erin Hunter writes her books. They are always great! So, really I am saying that it was an awesome book.
I absolutely love Bluestar, and this book made me cry a little bit, knowing everything that she went through in detail. I couldn't put this book down. She ended up being one of my favorite cats since the first book, so I was so glad to see that this was created so i could know more!
This book was so cool. It's about Bluestar's life in Thunderclan. It's also so cute reading about these little kits that you know are going to grow up into such awesome and famous warriors. Such as Whitekit=Whitestorm Redkit=Redtail Spottedkit=Spottedleaf and many more. Also there's TIgerkit which will eventually become Tigerstar. You also learn about Bluestar's struggles during her time in Thunderclan well before Firestar ever joined it, and how she eventually became leader.

Bluestar's Prophecy was a awesome book. I read the series books before this one, so when a kit comes along in Bluestar's Prophecy, I try and figure out who it is in the future series.
In this book Bluekit becomes the leader of Thunderclan after giving away her kits to her secret mate from Riverclan. But no one knows that the cute Tigerkit will become a threatening, power hungry warrior: Tigerstar. Will Bluestar be able to defeat this vicious cat?
In this book, Bluekit becomes the leader and holds the power of fire, she is keeping track but there is a huge threaten to her and her clan, will she be able to save her clan, in time?
