The decadence of Bourbon Street is beckoning...

Hot in the City, Book 1

When prim, proper Liz Marsh suspects her fiancé is cheating on her, she's almost too embarrassed to hire a P.I. to prove it. And when she gathers her courage and walks into Jack Wade's office, she has no idea he'll be the sexiest man she's ever encountered, nor that his light Cajun accent will make her tingle in all the wrong—or is that right?—places.

After Jack brings her questionable yet undeniably arousing show more evidence, the only solution is for Liz to get a closer look with her own eyes. And Jack is more than happy to show her everything she's been missing. One night in the French Quarter's entrancing red light district, and Liz finds herself caught up in the sensual allure of an erotic new atmosphere and the sudden, urgent need to experience it for herself—with Jack.

Jack's normally a keep-it-casual guy, but as nights with Liz get hotter, so do Jack's feelings for the sensual woman in his arms. Bourbon Street decadence beckons and Liz embarks on a sizzling journey of sexual awakening that has her more willing to shed her inhibitions minute by carnal minute. But someone else has noticed her insatiable appetite for sensual adventure, someone who's just beginning to realize what he's lost—and who's determined to tear Jack and Liz apart...

This book has been previously published.

Warning: Contains sizzling hot sex any way she wants it—and a man (or two) more than willing to show her the ropes. Let the good times roll, baby!

Pretty decent for a free Kindle selection.

It's probably one of the better erotica books I've read recently. Conservative girl meets boy, conservative girl becomes anything but with boy... small amount of relationship drama, and voila, everything is peachy and perfect. It takes place in New Orleans, which is fun. Some of the writing was a bit jerky and some of it was making me giggle a whole lot more than the author probably intended (and definitely not in the way the author intended).
HOTTER that Louisiana Hot Sauce!!!! GAR-ON-TEE you will need a fan, a bottle of water and batteries with this one ;-)Liz went on a journey to free her inner wild woman, and boy did she find the perfect man to guide her into the wild side and what better place than the French Quarter. This book is loaded with sex, and knowing the French Quarter and Bourbon Street like I do, it is believable. There are feelings described by one of the characters during the M/F/M menage, that I think would be realistic in a menage. All I can say without spoiling it, is it is my belief that if you are really caught up in passion there are no filters, you are ruled by sensation and do what feels good and Ms. Alexander actually describes a character having show more these feelings. This was my first Lacey Alexander book and it won't be my last. Fair warning - This story does some HEAVY F/F make out scenes in it. show less

WHAT CAN I SAY?. IN REAL LIFE, THEY DON'T MAKE MEN LIKE JACK WADE. NOR CAN MANY WRITERS WRITE IN A MANNER THAT ALLOWS YOU TO VISUALIZE SO WELL. WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT EVEN F/F ACTION WOULD BE SO EROTIC? ALEXANDER KEEPS YOU CLINCHING YOUR THIGHS TOGETHER WITH HER M/F; F/F; F/F/F; AND M/F/M SCENES. MY ONLY CRITICISM IS THAT IT WOULD HAVE BEEN HOTTER IF JACK'S FRIEND HAD "PARTICIPATED" A LITTLE MORE ENTHUSIASTICALLY AND IF ALEXANDER HAD LEFT THE DOOR AJAR FOR FUTURE THREESOMES. THERE'S EVEN SCALDING HOT INTERACTION BETWEEN THE 2 MALES THAT SURPRISES EVEN THEM AS THEY ARE STRAIGHT AS THEY COME.

OMG! I loved this story.
Yes, there were a couple of areas that lagged a bit.
But this book was on FIRE it was so hot.
And it had just a touch of Suspense/Mystery.
I loved the characters and have been collecting more books by this author since I read this.
It was very well written. A 'Snag or Two' here and there but overall
Blazing Hot and a Fantastic Read.
Definitely Erotica. Hot and Sensuous

The story of Liz and Jack is full of hot sex. The love is almost unexpected and very sweet. A big strong guy who's watching you back is always a good thing. I love a story with lots of great erotic sex but sometimes in this story I felt almost overwhelmed by it and thought that maybe it got in the way of the actually story. If I wasn't so behind on my reading list I would consider reading more in this series.

A thin line of nervous perspiration trickled between Liz Marsh’s breasts and into the black lace of her bra as she stood outside the slightly battered Royal Street door.
