McDermitt had a lot of Ketteman - Yay! Energetic fable, smart and funny... but should the gossips (those who the MC was eavesdropping on) got off scot-free? I mean, at least some of them were almost as mean-spirited and should also have been taught a lesson, to be fair....
Great book! Great book to bring in grand conversations and use prior experiences to relate to the book. This book is about an armadillo with a tendency to eavesdrop and tattle. He does this until his friends don't tell him anything anymore. This a great book for predictions and making those with the evidence given to them before reading, such as the title.
I think this story is great, and definitely a book that could be read to elementary classrooms. Tattling is very common so it can address this and even bullying too. This is also a funny book and has great pictures, so it would be enjoyable.
This story tells the truth about my armadillos have short ears. It's funny and engaging as well as great for teaching why one should mind their own business and not tattle tale. It can be used to teach word attack strategies by doing a read-aloud and a grand conversation.
The message shows that one should never tattletale on others or generally gossip of false accusations. It is not nice and you will not have friends doing so. The book could be used in any grade focusing on bullying and not being nice overall to others.
This is a great book to teach about consequences, and to teach story progression. I think that kids will like this book because it is fun, and there may be some new animals in the book, or ones that they recognize.
This is a great moral story about not ease dropping and gossiping and how it can come back and bite you in the butt. Very cute dialogue and pictures.
