See How They Run

I grabbed this at the library in a rush to find a few books before a long flight. The fast plot and short chapters were an enjoyable way to pass a part of the trip with brief moments to read. The plot is entertaining and suspenseful, but still feels somewhat far-fetched. One of the mail characters, a fashion model is so cartoonishly conflicted within herself that you can tell there's more to come. Even in this era of terrorism, the premise of the main events and their underlying agents is unbelievable. Setting that aside, it's still a fun read due to the twists in plot and a couple thought exercises that challenge history.

Patterson's trademark short chapters were still present way back when he wrote this novel. In fact it's that easy to digest format that keeps 'See How They Run' from becoming dull. There's not really much content in this retribution tale and even the grand finale never lives up to the potential. The characters are rather two dimensional and inconsistent too. What's left is a thankfully short tale about an interesting terrorist plot around the 1980 Olympic Village. There's not really much to recommend since Patterson has gone on to produce considerably better work.

Awful! The worst Patterson Book I have ever tried to read. I abandoned it about 3/4 of the way through. A Jewish Terrorist group, pretending to be a Nazi Terrorist group, kills Jews while trying to stop Nazis from killing Jews or punishing those who have killed Jews. Good Guys are bad guys and bad guys are good guys and none of it makes sense to me. I give it one star for a potentially interesting premise that fell flat in the poor execution

Subject disturbs me, well written

Just finished this book. A very quick read. Very different than most of his books that I have read but still good. A definite page turner.

Simply Awesome. I read this late in 2007 and with the state of things in the world today, it was probably more believeable than when it was published. So far this would be the gold standard for Patterson's work!

I was really not crazy about this book. I have read other Patterson and liked it but I did not think this was one of his best. I do give him credit for one really good plot twist, but otherwise the plot was pretty predictable and the characters just so-so.
