B&R's final collection of scripts, this time from their last radio series, heard on NPR stations in the mid 80s. All funny stuff. It's always better to hear them, and most of this is available on CD as "The Best of Bob and Ray." ( )

This book contains the scripts of Bob and Ray radio routines, including the classic "Komodo Dragon Expert," the Monongahela Ingot commercials, and the faux-soap "Garish Summit." Can one appreciate Bob and Ray's absurdity and deadpan delivery through printed text? Perhaps not fully. But even those unfamiliar with their recorded performances will be able to discern that this is a unique style of humor. ( )
